Basketball Recap: South Houston Takes a Loss

After flying high against Alvin last Tuesday, South Houston came back down to earth. The South Houston Trojans took a 67-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Manvel Mavericks. The Trojans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mavericks from their previous meeting back in December of 2019.

South Houston's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 10-5. As for Manvel, their record now sits at 7-8.

South Houston and Dawson will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Manvel will take on Sam Rayburn in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sam Rayburn is on a five-game streak of home losses, Manvel a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change.
