After a string of six wins, Williston-Elko's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wagener-Salley War Eagles. The Blue Devils were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the War Eagles earlier this season, when they won 15-6.

Williston-Elko's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 9-7. As for Wagener-Salley, their record now sits at 7-10.

Coming up, Williston-Elko will head out on the road to face off against Horse Creek Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
