Basketball Recap: Shadyside Takes a Loss

Shadyside's game on Monday was all tied up 23-23 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 51-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Catholic Central Crusaders. The Tigers have struggled against the Crusaders recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Shadyside's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Catholic Central, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shadyside will take on Caldwell at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Caldwell has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Catholic Central, they will face off against Harrison Central at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Catholic Central is on a three-game streak of home wins, Harrison Central a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
