Football Recap: Rochester Rockets vs. Glenwood Titans
Rochester fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Glenwood on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They and the Titans were almost perfectly matched up, but they suffered a 43-42 loss. The Rockets lost against the Titans in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 45-17 score last time.

When it comes to explaining why Rochester lost, don't look at Kaiden Stout. Despite the final result, he picked up 131 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 53 yards. JP Leonard was another key player, having thrown for 270 yards and two touchdowns.
Rochester didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Tanner Beal and Brooks Gavin. Gavin got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Colten Knoedler was his usual excellent self, throwing for 331 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 111 yards and one TD on only 12 carries for Glenwood. Those 111 rushing yards gave Knoedler a new career-high.
Having lost for the first time this season, Rochester fell to 3-1. As for Glenwood, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Rochester wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 56-7 victory against Normal University on the 26th. As for Glenwood, they have also already played their next contest, a 49-0 win against MacArthur on the 26th.
