The home team had come away the winner the last four times Ceres and Central Valley had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Bulldogs blew past the Hawks 19-3 on Wednesday. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 contests by six runs or more this season.

Alizae Cole made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. Cole was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three doubles, one run, and one RBI. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Ava Montesdeoca was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Bella Bravo, who went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Ceres always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .650. They are 11-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Ceres pushed their record up to 18-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.8 runs over those games. As for Central Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-13 record this season.
