Basketball Game Preview: Bryant Owls vs. Sinatra

The Bryant Owls will take on Sinatra at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Bryant challenged Academy of American Studies last Wednesday. Bryant took a hard 47-32 fall against Academy of American Studies. The loss continues a trend for the Owls in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Sinatra was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 29-10 to Maspeth. While losing is never fun, Sinatra can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 626th, while Maspeth is ranked 228th).

Bryant's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Sinatra, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.

Bryant took their victory against Sinatra when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 48-28. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bryant since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
