Preview: Temple Christian Academy Warriors vs. Easley HomeSchool Guardians

The Temple Christian Academy Warriors will head out on the road to square off against the Easley HomeSchool Guardians at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Temple Christian Academy is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 19 games.

With a playoff game on the line, Temple Christian Academy rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against the by a score of 56-45.

Jeramy Trangmar was his usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. He has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last 17 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Eli Holbrook, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and four steals.

Meanwhile, Easley HomeSchool earned a 58-46 win over Coastal HomeSchool on Saturday. Given Easley HomeSchool's advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 174th in South Carolina, while Coastal HomeSchool is ranked 380th in Georgia), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Temple Christian Academy pushed their record up to 24-3 with that win, which was their 12th straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points per game. As for Easley HomeSchool, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

Temple Christian Academy beat Easley HomeSchool 59-52 in their previous meeting back in November of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Temple Christian Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
