Pewamo-Westphalia came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 39.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 72-22 win over the Bloomingdale Cardinals. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 74th, while the Cardinals are ranked 495th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pewamo-Westphalia's victory bumped their record up to 22-3. As for Bloomingdale, their loss dropped their record down to 13-12.
