Softball Recap: Harvest Christian Academy Has No Trouble Against Streamwood

Harvest Christian Academy's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 22-9 margin over the Streamwood Sabres. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Sabres: they've now won three in a row.

Harvest Christian Academy let Kenzie Weidman and Alayna Booras run wild. Weidman went 4-for-5 with five runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Booras scored three runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave Booras a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Haley Miller, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4.

Harvest Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .702. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Harvest Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Streamwood, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Harvest Christian Academy will square off against Parkview Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Lions are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Streamwood, they will face off against Batavia at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.4 runs per game on average), something the Sabres will no doubt try to take advantage of.
