Perth Amboy Vo-Tech unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Carteret Ramblers by a score of 26-24 on Wednesday. The Patriots have struggled against the Ramblers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Carteret moved to 1-1 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Perth Amboy Vo-Tech will head out to challenge Somerset Tech at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Carteret, they will be home for the holidays to greet Lawrence at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
