Volleyball Game Preview: Desert Hills Thunder vs. Crimson Cliffs Mustangs

The Desert Hills Thunder will venture away from home to square off against the Crimson Cliffs Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Desert Hills is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Virgin Valley just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 3-1 to the Bulldogs.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-23, 21-25, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Crimson Cliffs beat Hurricane 3-1 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won five in a row.

Crimson Cliffs got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 37-35, 22-25, 25-20.

Desert Hills' loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Crimson Cliffs, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-5.

Desert Hills was able to grind out a solid victory over Crimson Cliffs in their previous meeting back in March, winning 3-1. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Mustangs' Colsen Neal, who had 26 digs and three aces.
