Volleyball Game Preview: Eureka Wildcats vs. Rockwood Summit Falcons

The Eureka Wildcats will square off against the Rockwood Summit Falcons at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Eureka will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Eureka was able to grind out a solid victory over St. Francis Borgia, taking the game 3-1.

Eureka was actually outscored in aggregate across those four sets (92-90), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-23, 15-25, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Rockwood Summit faced Eureka in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Falcons took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-17, 15-25, 25-22.

Eureka will have to contain Michael Rossomanno as he made an impact in Rockwood Summit's last game. He had 11 digs.

Eureka's win bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Rockwood Summit, their loss dropped their record down to 19-11-1.

Eureka was able to grind out a solid victory over Rockwood Summit in their previous meeting on Monday, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
