Basketball Recap: Verde Valley Comes Up Short

Verde Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a blow against the Trinity Christian Warriors, falling 56-7. The Coyotes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-2.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Zarrish Khan and Parker Moen, who each put up two points.

Verde Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Trinity Christian, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Verde Valley and Trinity Christian's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Verde Valley will square off against BASIS - Peoria at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, a squad that's only allowed 28.88 points per game. Similarly, Trinity Christian and BASIS - Prescott (who has only given up 25.22 points per game) will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
