Recap: Farrell Steelers vs. Union Area Scotties
On Saturday, Farrell beat Union Area 58-51. Given Farrell's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while Union Area is ranked 523rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Farrell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Danny Odem III, who scored 21 points. Juelz Johnson was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 11 assists and nine rebounds.
Farrell has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Union Area, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.
Farrell will head out on the road to challenge Jamestown at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Union Area, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Avella at 7:30 p.m. Avella is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
