McDowell took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They blew past the Mitchell Mountaineers 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Mountaineers: they've now won five in a row.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-7, 25-20.

Avery Benfield and Addison Gregory certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Benfield had 16 digs and one assist, while Gregory had 13 digs.

McDowell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Mountain Heritage on the 12th. As for Mitchell, they will challenge Erwin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
