Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Sharon walked away with it. They came out on top against the Northwestern Wildcats by a score of 4-1 on Monday. The win was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won 16 matches in a row.

Madelyn Vogan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 20 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Addie McFann was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dalaini Bayer, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Sharon's victory was their 23rd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-1. As for Northwestern, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-3.

As of now, neither Sharon nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
