Softball Recap: Marshall County Tigers vs. Franklin County Rebels
Marshall County lost against Franklin County back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Marshall County Tigers fell just short of the Franklin County Rebels by a score of 10-9. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Zakiya Taylor made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Carlee Cole was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
Taylor wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Marshall County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. This was only their first loss (out of three games) when they post 11 or more hits.
Marshall County's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Franklin County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.
Coincidentally, Marshall County and Franklin County will both be playing Tullahoma the next time they take the field. Franklin County will head out to face Tullahoma at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Marshall County will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
