Massac County faced Nashville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Patriots came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 2-0. The victory was familiar territory for the Patriots, who have now won five contests in a row.

Kinley Logeman paced Massac County's offense, picking up eight kills. Logeman got some help from Hannah Edwards and her 22 assists. Finally, Maia Jones kept Massac County's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Massac County's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Nashville, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-1.

Coincidentally, Massac County and Nashville will both be playing Pinckneyville the next time they take the court. The Patriots will head out to face the Panthers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Hornets will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
