With a playoff win on the line, Millard South rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Millard West Wildcats 4-2. The victory continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won four in a row.

Jackson Corey tossed a big game, pitching 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
