            Baseball Recap: Nevada Union Miners vs. Yuba City Honkers        
        
		
        
        
            Nevada Union had lost eight straight at home, but  on Friday they dropped their record down to 10-18 to make it nine. They fell  8-4 to the Yuba City Honkers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Honkers this season,  with their most recent  loss being a  6-3  defeat  on Wednesday.
  Isaac Arnerich made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with one  home run and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Nate Hundemer, who  went 1-for-4 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI.
As for Yuba City, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 7.3 runs over those games.
 On Yuba City's side,  the team  relied heavily on  Brody Miller, who  went 4-for-5 with three  stolen bases, three  runs,  and two  doubles. That's the most  runs  Miller has posted since back in April.  Ashton Decker was another key player,  getting on base  in two of his five plate appearances with two  runs and one  stolen base.
As of now, neither Nevada Union nor Yuba City have any future games scheduled.
