Recap: Lone Peak Knights vs. Lehi Pioneers
The Lone Peak Knights can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Lehi 64-29 on the road. The win was nothing new for Lone Peak as they're now sitting on four straight.
Lone Peak got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Shawnee Nordstrom out in front who scored 15 points along with four steals. Nordstrom hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Naia Tanuvasa, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Several Pioneers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kinly Faux, who scored eight points along with five rebounds. Hadlie Warren was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Lone Peak pushed their record up to 9-6 with that victory, which was their tenth straight on the road. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 34.7 points. As for Lehi, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.
Lone Peak will head out on the road to challenge Westlake at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Westlake focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Friday. As for Lehi, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Pleasant Grove at 6:00 p.m. Pleasant Grove is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
