Basketball Game Preview: Slidell Greyhounds vs. Lipan Indians

Slidell is on a seven-game streak of home wins, while Lipan is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Slidell Greyhounds will welcome the Lipan Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

Slidell is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 47-37 victory over Boles. Given the Greyhounds' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 299th, while the Hornets are ranked 681st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Lipan humbled Windthorst with a 70-30 victory. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Slidell has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.9 points over those games. As for Lipan, their win bumped their record up to 22-11.

Slidell beat Lipan 51-38 in their previous meeting back in February of 2019. Will Slidell repeat their success, or does Lipan have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
