Baseball Recap: Giddings Takes a Loss

Giddings managed to slip by Brazos the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Giddings Buffaloes lost 10-4 to the Brazos Cougars on Monday. The Buffaloes were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Austen Marth made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Giddings has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4-1 record this season. Brazos moved to 4-6 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Giddings will face off against Anderson-Shiro at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Brazos, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Brazos Cougars challenge Logos Prep Academy Lions at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. They are facing Logos Prep Academy at the right time seeing as Logos Prep Academy is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
