Basketball Recap: Holly Pond Takes a Loss

Holly Pond has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 43-36 to the Fairview Aggies, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Broncos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 43-36 on Monday.

Holly Pond's defeat dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Fairview, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-12.

Holly Pond and Fairview should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings. Holly Pond (ranked 49th) will meet Southeastern (ranked 264th) at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Fairview will challenge Brewer at 6:00 p.m. on Monday up 186 places (119 vs. 305).
