Preview: El Modena vs. St. Margaret's
El Modena and St. Margaret's face off this Friday at 7:30 PM to determine whose season will come to a close. El Modena is coming into the game hot, having won six in a row.
El Modena has netted another blowout to add to its collection (now totaling six) after its most recent game. It had all the answers against Diamond Ranch last week, winning 35 - 7. Senior A.j. Esperanza deserves a lot of the credit as he threw for 206 yards and three touchdowns. Esperanza also tagged on a 41-yard TD reception in the first quarter. This sound performance was nothing new for Esperanza, who has been a rock for El Modena in the past 12 games. Senior Justin Simpson banked an additional two TDs for the team. As for St. Margaret's, it didn't have too many spare points last week in its contest with Fullerton, but it still walked away with a 34 - 28 win.
