Manteno had won seven straight home games and Leah Donnelly did her part to make it eight on Thursday. The Panthers walked away with a 2-0 win over the Reed-Custer Comets for which the team can thank Donnelly, who had five digs and two aces. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

Manteno easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-1, 25-18.

Manteno's victory bumped their record up to 20-3. As for Reed-Custer, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-21 record this season.

Manteno will welcome Wilmington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Reed-Custer, they will head out on the road to face off against Pontiac at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
