Volleyball Recap: Porter Ridge Comes Up Short

Porter Ridge lost against Metrolina Christian Academy back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Porter Ridge Pirates took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Metrolina Christian Academy Warriors.

The final score came out to 25-23, 25-16, 12-25, 25-21.

Asaph Munezero paced Porter Ridge's offense, picking up nine kills. Munezero got some help from Mung Khai and his 15 assists. Diego Corona controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Porter Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Metrolina Christian Academy, the win was the seventh in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record for this year to 2-0.

Porter Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against East Mecklenburg on the 18th. As for Metrolina Christian Academy, they will challenge Kingdom Leadership Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
