Andrean waltzed into their match on Saturday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They put the hurt on the Lincoln-Way East Griffins with a sharp 9-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Fighting 59ers, who have now won 14 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Andrean pushed their record up to 19-1 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Lincoln-Way East, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-6.

Coincidentally, Andrean and Lincoln-Way East will both be playing Zionsville the next time they take the field. The Griffins will head out to face the Eagles at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, while the Fighting 59ers will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
