Mogollon lost to Williams back in March of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Mustangs walked away with a 13-8 victory over the Vikings. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Hadley Porter and Chancy Worsley were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Porter struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Worsley pitched 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. At the plate, Porter went 2-for-5 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Worsley scored three runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cort Porter, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Quinn Tenney was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Mogollon's win bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Williams, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-7-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mogollon will face off against Hayden at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Williams, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ash Fork/Seligman at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.85 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of.
