Basketball Recap: Loyd Star Comes Up Short

After flying high against Wilkinson County last Tuesday, Loyd Star came back down to earth. The Loyd Star Hornets were beaten by the Bogue Chitto Bobcats 73-43 on Thursday. The Hornets have struggled against the Bobcats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Loyd Star's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9. As for Bogue Chitto, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 20-3.

As of now, neither Loyd Star nor Bogue Chitto have any future games scheduled.
