Baylor faced Knoxville Catholic in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Red Raiders came up short against the Fighting Irish, falling 3-0. The Red Raiders' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Baylor was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-15, 25-23.

Player #2 was the offensive standout of the match as she had 11 digs and four assists.

Baylor's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 24-6. As for Knoxville Catholic, their win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-8.

Baylor has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Chattanooga Christian on the 8th. Knoxville Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
