Meanwhile, after soaring to 31 points the game before, Burges was a bit more limited in their game last Friday. They were beaten by Andress 62-7. The Mustangs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-0.

Burges has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Del Valle, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.

Everything came up roses for Del Valle against Burges when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 70-17 win. In that matchup, the Conquistadores amassed a halftime lead of 56-3, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
