Basketball Recap: Jo Byrns Takes a Loss

Jo Byrns lost against White House-Heritage back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Jo Byrns Red Devils took a 57-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the White House-Heritage Patriots.

White House-Heritage's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jeffrey Whittaker, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten assists. The dominant performance also gave Whittaker a new career-high in blocks (three). Another player making a difference was Pryce Payne, who went 6 for 8 on his way to 13 points.

Jo Byrns' defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for White House-Heritage, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Jo Byrns and Liberty Creek will face off at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for White House-Heritage, they and Stratford will face off at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. White House-Heritage is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.1 points per game this season.
