The Northeastern Bobcats will head out on the road to square off against the Dallastown Wildcats at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
Northeastern had to start their season on the road last Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 17-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of Shippensburg. Both teams can probably skip cardio this week after making that many trips around the bases.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Monday Dallastown sidestepped Susquehannock for a 9-8 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Dallastown.
Kameryn Paules was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. Paules was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Taylor Ness was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two RBI.
Northeastern might still be hurting after the 15-1 defeat they got from Dallastown when the teams last played back in March of 2023. Thankfully for Northeastern, Gabby Fowler (who struck out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk)) won't be suiting up this time.
