Volleyball Recap: Stoneham Spartans vs. Wakefield Memorial Warriors

The Stoneham Spartans took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wakefield Memorial Warriors. While the Spartans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Warriors 25-21 in the first set.
Stoneham started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-9, 25-17, 25-20.
Wakefield Memorial can attribute much of their success to Brendia Diaz, who had nine digs.

Stoneham is facing Watertown at the right time seeing as Watertown is stuck on a 15-game losing streak. As for Wakefield Memorial, they are on the road again on Thursday to play Burlington at 5:30 p.m.
