After losing to Dover the last time they met, Covington-Douglas decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Everything went the Covington-Douglas Wildcats' way against the Dover Longhorns on Tuesday as the Covington-Douglas Wildcats made off with a 12-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won six matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Covington-Douglas and bumps their season record up to 7-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Dover, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Covington-Douglas Wildcats face off against Pond Creek-Hunter Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Covington-Douglas' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Pond Creek-Hunter's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Dover, they will face off against Hollis at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
