Softball Recap: Firth Comes Up Short

Firth was the 20-0 winner over Ririe when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cougars fell 21-16 to the Bulldogs on Tuesday. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meg Leslie made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Kieleigh Bales was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Firth's record is now 2-7. As for Ririe, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Firth will square off against Malad at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ririe, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against West Jefferson at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
