Softball Recap: Robinson Comes Up Short

Robinson couldn't beat Sullivan on Tuesday even though they stacked five runs on them in the third inning. The Maroons fell just short of the Redskins by a score of 10-9. The Maroons' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Ella Bunten made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Rhianna Moss, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Robinson's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Sullivan, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-8.

Coming up, Robinson will be playing in front of their home fans against Richland County at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Maroons surely won't give up without a fight. As for Sullivan, they will head out on the road to take on Okaw Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Timberwolves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.29 runs per game on average), something the Redskins will no doubt try to take advantage of.
