Softball Recap: Treutlen Vikings vs. Hawkinsville Red Devils
Treutlen had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Hawkinsville Red Devils 9-1 on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Vikings, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Ella Roberson made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Roberson was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Cloey Hutcheson was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in August of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ruthie Blair, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one double.
Treutlen always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hawkinsville only posted an OBP of .235.
Hawkinsville is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Treutlen will head out to face off against Putnam County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Hawkinsville, they will venture away from home to take on Crawford County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
