Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Illini Bluffs). They skirted past the Athens Warriors 66-63. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Athens' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was James Jones, who went 5 for 7 en route to 13 points. Sawyer Hill was another key player, going 7 of 14 on his way to 17 points and five rebounds.

Illini Bluffs' victory bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Athens, they dropped their record down to 9-6 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Illini Bluffs wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 60-47 win against Peoria Heights on the 14th. As for Athens, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-46 loss against Riverton on the 13th.
