Softball Recap: Salem Tigers vs. Licking Wildcats
If Salem was feeling good fresh off their 16-1 takedown of Kingston on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers fell just short of the Licking Wildcats by a score of 8-7 on Monday. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 15-10.
Alaina Norris spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and four unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, Reagan DuBois made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Shaylee Thomas, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
