Mt. Carmel had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They were the clear victor by a 43-21 margin over the Carmi-White County Bulldogs on Thursday. The Golden Aces have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 19 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Maycee Randall continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 19 points and 18 boards. What's more, she racked up eight blocks, the most she's had since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Madison Stevens, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Mt. Carmel smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in four consecutive matchups.

Mt. Carmel has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 19 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-4 record this season. With the loss, Carmi-White County broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 19-10.

Mt. Carmel didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 39-37 win against Sullivan on the 25th. Carmi-White County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
