Baseball Recap: Camden Academy Charter Takes a Loss

Camden Academy Charter fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Paulsboro on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Raiders. The defeat continues a trend for Camden Academy Charter in their meetings with Paulsboro: they've now lost four in a row.

Andrew Dominguez was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Andry Placencia, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Camden Academy Charter's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Paulsboro, their victory bumped their record up to 2-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Camden Academy Charter will venture away from home to face off against St. Thomas Aquinas at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Paulsboro, they will head out to take on Audubon at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Green Wave's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Red Raiders' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
