Softball Recap: New Hope Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, New Hope couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 5-4 to the Lafayette Commodores, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Commodores this season, with their most recent loss being a 5-4 defeat on Wednesday.

New Hope's loss dropped their record down to 22-9. As for Lafayette, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-6 record this season.

While New Hope had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
