Basketball Recap: Sallisaw's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Sallisaw came into Friday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 42-29 victory over the Perkins-Tryon Demons on Friday. The 42-point effort marked the Black Diamonds' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Sallisaw's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Perkins-Tryon, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Sallisaw won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Tecumseh at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Tecumseh knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Sallisaw likes a good challenge. Perkins-Tryon will take on Bristow in a holiday battle at at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
