Softball Recap: Goodpasture Christian Finds Home Field Redemption Against Page

There's no place like home for Goodpasture Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They came out on top against the Page Patriots by a score of 9-4 on Thursday.

Goodpasture Christian got a massive performance out of Katelyn Bryant, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Madi Crocker, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Goodpasture Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Page only posted a batting average of .231.

Goodpasture Christian's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Page, they moved to 4-1 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coming up, Goodpasture Christian will challenge Geneseo at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Page, they will take on Brentwood at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
