Pitman had already won 11 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.5 points) and they went ahead and made it 12 on Friday. Everything went their way against the Downey Knights as they made off with a 56-35 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Pride have posted against the Knights since April 28, 2021.

Downey's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trey Richards, who posted 13 points and three steals. Richards is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last four games he's played. Solomon Paris was another key player, putting up eight points.

Pitman's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-1. As for Downey, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pitman will venture away from home to square off against Turlock at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Pitman's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups. As for Downey, they will head out to face off against Modesto at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Downey is facing Modesto at the right time seeing as Modesto is stuck on a 15-game losing streak.
