Football Game Preview: Dell Rapids Quarriers vs. Canton C-Hawks

The Dell Rapids Quarriers will venture away from home to square off against the Canton C-Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Dell Rapids has four straight wins, Canton has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Dell Rapids is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Dakota's top teams: West Central, who was ranked seventh at the time (Dell Rapids was ranked tenth). The Quarriers slipped by the Trojans 21-20 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Canton fell victim to Lennox and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Orioles 40-0.

Canton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Dell Rapids, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Everything came up roses for Dell Rapids against Canton in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 62-22 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Quarriers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
