Basketball Recap: HEM Comes Up Short

If HEM was riding high fresh off their 52-31 takedown of Rock River last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The HEM Miners took a hard 62-43 fall against the Encampment Tigers on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Miners of the 58-26 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

HEM's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Encampment, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-8.

HEM will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Farson-Eden at 4:30 p.m. on February 21st. As for Encampment, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Tigers take on the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Encampment is facing Saratoga at the right time seeing as Saratoga is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
