Softball Recap: Central Beats Scott City for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Central had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They didn't even let the Scott City Rams on the board, marking their second-straight 15-0 shutout. Considering the Rebels have won six matchups by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Kaydence Cosby, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024.

Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Scott City only posted an OBP of .412.

Central's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Scott City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.

Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Scott City, they will square off against Bernie at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
